| Brief introduction to the enterprise |
 The predecessor of Shuikoushan Non-ferrous Co., Ltd. is Shuikoushan Mines Bureau. It was once the biggest among the 500 industrial enterprises in China. It is a large-scale non-ferrous united enterprise combines ore mining, ore dressing and melting together, and mainly produces lead, zinc, copper and rare metals. Now Shuikoushan non-ferrous Co., Ltd. has three mines of lead, zinc and copper, a lead smelting plant, a zinc smelting plant, a coppersmelting plant, a zinc oxide smelting plant and a non-Hg zinc powder smelting plant. It also has the only beryllium smelting plant in Asia and the only production base of arsenic products in the country. The large-scale Kangjiawan Mine is the fourth largest lead and zinc mine in the country with an annual ore-producing capacity of more than 400,000 tons and
reserves 16,000,000 tons of lead and zinc. Now the company has a staff of 11000, total fixed assets of 1,600,000,000 yuan (RMB), an annual gross industrial output value of 1,500,000,000 yuan (RMB) and sales income of 1,700,000,000 yuan (RMB). It possesses 600,000-ton mining and
dressing capacity, 200,000-ton copper, lead and zinc smelting capacity, 1000-kilogram gold
and 240-ton silver production capacity. It has more than 50 kinds of products, including
lead, zinc, copper, gold, silver, beryllium, zirconium, arsenic, non-Hg zinc powder, zinc oxide and sulfuric acid etc. The products of the company sell well all over the country and are exported to more than 30 countries and regions. Among them, the SKS lead ingot was registered in London Mullion Exchange (LME) in 1994; the SKS silver ingot was registered in London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) in 2003; the SKS zinc ingot will also be registered in London Mullion Exchange (LME) soon; zinc oxide with a brand name of ¡°Flying Wheel¡± was once awarded National Quality Gold Prize. The company has passed the ISO 9000 Quality System Certification. In recent two years, the company was awarded the following honorary titles-----National May 1st Labour Prize, Excellent Enterprise in Hunan Province, and Civilized Unitin Hengyang City etc. It is a key service enterprise and a superior enterprise in Hunanprovince. |
